Joe Wagoner, Chief Executive Officer
Joe Wagoner joined the San Francisco Bulls as the Chief Executive Officer in February of 2012 after a more than 18 years as a professional in sports.

In March of 2010, Wagoner was hired as the Sacramento Mountain Lions Professional Football Team’s Senior Vice President (UFL). Being the first employee of the Mountain Lions, Joe was tasked with creating every aspect of Sacramento’s new franchise from the ground up.

Prior to joining the Mountain Lions, Joe was the Assistant General Manager in charge of Sales and Marketing for the Modesto Nuts Minor League Baseball Team (A, Colorado). During his stint in Modesto, the Nuts broke their all-time ticket sales record, as well as the organization’s all-time revenue record.

Wagoner started his career in 1994 with the Sioux Falls Canaries (SD, Northern League) as a ticket taker and concessions employee. He returned to the Canaries in 1999 as Season Ticket Sales Representative and Director of Promotions. In Sioux Falls, Joe held a number of job titles in Sioux Falls and was instrumental in helping the Canaries brake attendance records in 2000 and 2001.

After Sioux Falls, Joe spent the 2002 through 2006 seasons with the Sacramento River Cats (AAA, Oakland). Wagoner spent two years selling corporate partnerships for the River Cats before he was promoted to Director of Marketing. As Director of Marketing, Wagoner played a key role in successfully defending the River Cats national attendance title three years in a row and helped host the 2005 Triple-A All-Star Game.

In 2007, Wagoner headed back to the Midwest as he accepted the Vice President of Sales position with the Peoria Chiefs Minor League Baseball Team (A, Chicago NL). While in Peoria, Joe led the Chiefs in breaking two consecutive attendance and revenue records.

From Peoria, Wagoner moved north when he accepted the Director of Ticket Sales position with the Chicago-area Kane County Cougars Minor League Baseball Team (A, Oakland). Kane County tasked Wagoner with re-organizing and rejuvenating the team’s ticket sales efforts, as well as assist with the team’s ten million-dollar suite level addition.

Before Joe decided that the sports industry was his calling, he worked for J. Walter Thompson Advertising (Chicago, IL) as an Account Executive on the national Kraft Foods and Dell Computer advertising accounts.

Joe is originally from Macomb, IL and is a graduate of Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, NE (business and psychology). He is married to California Senate Consultant Rachel Machi Wagoner and has a daughter named Grace and a son named Ryan.

Marlena Aranda, Chief Marketing Officer
Marlena turned a lifelong passion for sports into a career when she graduated from the University of the Pacific with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Sciences in 2004. Before joining the San Francisco Bulls, Marlena was the Vice President of Marketing for the Stockton Thunder. Prior to being with the Thunder and Lightning she spent two seasons as a Guest Services Representative with the Fresno Grizzlies.

Angela Batinovich Bysouth, Chief Financial Officer
Angela was Managing Partner of the Portland LumberJax Lacrosse team in Oregon from 2005 – 2010, a National Lacrosse League (NLL) franchise.

She was awarded Executive of the Year in 2006 by the NLL Board of Governors and quickly became addicted to sports business. With a degree in Marketing & Business Law from Loyola Marymount University, she dove into the world of sports management with a passion for the start-up atmosphere.

Angela grew up in the Bay Area and is now living in Burlingame with her husband and 3-year-old daughter.
