San Francisco Bulls Hockey Announces Preview Event
Fans will have the opportunity to take a shot on the ice
San Francisco, CA, February 25, 2012 – The San Francisco Bulls Hockey Organization has announced that they will be opening up the Cow Palace to the general public on Saturday, March 10 from 3 to 5 PM. This will be the first time fans will be able to get a glimpse of the new team’s setup for ice hockey. Attendees will be able to participate in a number of interactive activities.
The event will kick off at 3 PM with an appearance by the Radio Disney Road Crew who will provide music and games for kids of all ages. Artists are scheduled be on hand to provide face painting, caricatures and balloon animals for the Bulls’ younger fans. Other activities will include the opportunity to take photos with Bulls mascot Rawhide, a poster making station, skate demonstrations and more.
The highlight of the event will be an opportunity for attendees to get onto the Cow Palace ice to take a slap shot at the Bulls goal. Fans will also be able to tour the Cow Palace arena seating bowl and hockey rink setup. San Francisco Bulls sales executives will also be available to take orders for Season Tickets and Mini Plans.
About the ECHL and the Bulls:
The ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in four states. Today, the league has 20 teams in 14 states. The ECHL celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2007-08 and is the third-longest tenured professional hockey league behind only the National Hockey League and the American Hockey League. The ECHL has had 273 players reach the NHL over the last eight seasons. It’s the primary developmental league for the NHL and the AHL. On opening day of the 2010-11 season, 79 former ECHL players were on NHL rosters. The ECHL teams are divided into the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference. The Bulls will join the Western Conference, which includes the Alaska Aces, Bakersfield Condors, Colorado Eagles, Idaho Steelheads, Las Vegas Wranglers, Stockton Thunder, Ontario Reign, and the Utah Grizzlies.
