SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today it will be hosting LGBTQ Night on Saturday, March 23, when the Bulls host the Stockton Thunder at 7:15 pm. As part of the celebration of LGBTQ Night, the Bulls are partnering with the You Can Play Project and SF Pride. Plus, the first 2,000 fans receive an SF Bulls Cow Bell or Rally Towel.

“We are grateful to the San Francisco Bulls for becoming the first ECHL team to join the You Can Play movement,” said You Can Play Co-Founder Patrick Burke. “Playing in a city with such a vibrant LGBT community, it is great to see that the Bulls are reaching out to embrace their fans, both gay and straight. We hope to see the city return the embrace.”

At the March 23 contest, the team will auction off most of the Bulls’ game-worn orange jerseys via live and silent auctions throughout and after the game. A portion of the proceeds from the auctions and special group tickets being offered for this game will go towards the You Can Play Project.

The You Can Play Project is an organization dedicated to ensuring equality, respect and safety for all athletes, without regard to sexual orientation. You can find out more about the You Can Play Project at http://youcanplayproject.org/ and on Twitter @YouCanPlayTeam.

The Bulls are proud to support local SF Pride by donating a portion of the proceeds of special group tickets for the game to the organization. You can purchase special Dress Circle Seats for $25 tickets to LGBTQ Night by calling Jason Breiter at 855-SF-BULLS or by contacting Jason at JasonB@sfbulls.com. Each of these tickets sold will include a $7 donation split between the You Can Play Project and locally to SF Pride. Be sure when speaking to an SF Bulls sales representative to indicate your group is attending the LGBTQ Night.
