Hi hockey fans! I had a great weekend in Pittsburgh at the NHL Draft. I had the opportunity to attend the NHL coaches’ conference which was very educational. Key speakers included Florida Panthers head coach Kevin Dineen, former San Jose Sharks defenseman and assistant coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs Rob Zettler and the current longest serving head coach in the NHL, Lindy Ruff of the Buffalo Sabres.

As you may have seen on my twitter account (@CurcioSFBulls) I met Nail Yakupov, who ended up going first overall when he was picked by the Edmonton Oilers. He has a bright future in the NHL. It was nice to see my good friends at Pulver Sports, a sports agency, have two of their players go in the top three of the draft, Yakupov at number one and Alex Galchenyuk at number three to the Montreal Canadiens.

Attending the Draft was very productive. Being able to network with players and agents allowed me to have a few more players commit to playing for the Bulls next season. We’ll have those announcements in the next coming weeks. Now it’s time to keep things rolling back here in the Bay Area.

Go SF Bulls GO!
